The Double Our Future Impact Fund invites donors and alumni to match the university’s contribution rand-for-rand, doubling the number of students able to begin their academic journey.
Each contribution, regardless of size, creates a ripple effect that impacts not only individual students but the entire UJ community and society at large.
Your support helps students who face financial exclusion register for university, ensuring that financial hardship is never the reason a deserving student is left behind.
Launched in 2022, the campaign aims to help 10,000 students cover their registration fees, giving thousands the chance to start or continue their academic journey with hope and dignity.
Since 2009, UJ has committed R20 million annually, enabling more than 5,000 students per year to register. With donor partnerships, this impact grows even stronger—raising R6.3 million through the campaign so far.
Every contribution is more than a donation, it’s an investment in tomorrow’s leaders. Donors receive a Section 18A certificate, and students receive the chance to pursue education without fear of exclusion.
